This a great vid nice job! My question is serato has 4 versions if scratch live. The SL1 up to the SL4. Which version is in the mixer? I know it's upgradable but I think the SL4 is the way to go and should be installed from Rane directly to up to date. What are your thoughts?

@foxIIbassoonist that would be all that u need...unless u get a different mixer you would need a serato box sl1 sl2 sl3 or sl4

@MRCARTER92 this comment was a while back but if you havent gotten the help, if you buy the mixer brand new it comes with the scratch live installation disc, if you bought it used you can dowload it for free from serato.com and u can also get updates for free

Hi!I'm currently rocking technics sl-1210 mk5s with a technics SH-EX1200 mixer. I'm planning on buying the Novation Dicers as they are pretty cheap, but awesome. I feel like my mixer is outdated, though. I planned on buying the 57, but as I've learned more about it I'm not so sure. I already have SL3. I'm not really sure what the 56 has that my technics mixer don't.Thanks!

@MRCARTER92 SSL software comes with the mixer, so do 2 vinyls.

Hey I have the rane ttm 57, but I am having some trouble with setting it to the amp, I set it up and my left deck sounds like crap, my question is where do you plug in the amp cord in the ttm 57 to the amp, to the speakers, please reply soon!

@panizzle correction, its sL1 built in. its not the sL3 in the TTM 57SL.

There is a knob towards top of the mixer where you select the channel. Check 5:10 in the vid to see it. There is no need to reach behind the mixer when switching from Serato to regular vinyl. Hope this helps.

Quick question, To switch between using serato or regular vinyl I'd need to flick the line/phono switches on the back of the mixer or is there line/phono switches on the front? Any help would be appreciated. :)

@djcutone37 sl3 box comes built in you plug your computer to its usb port on mixer you are done ;)
